My Science Fair
This years science fair I decided to do a project on water filtration. It was an interesting experience. I had a lot of fun doing this project and really appreciated the work I had done. I had a great time explaining my project to the parents that were at the science fair. Next year, I hope to do a project I have a little more interest in, this will make me enjoy science fair even more!
The Sound Of Thunder
The Sound of Thunder is about a man who goes back in time to hunt dinosaurs. As he is there, he accidentally steps on a butterfly which changes the course of the future. He goes back to find that the presidential election the day before had a different outcome, and the spelling of words were also different. This story was mostly interesting for its fantasy. It was not all that much realistic which made the story a little more interesting. This story did not have such a serious theme as the other stories in the book. This made it also a bit fresh.
Beware Of The Dog
Beware of the dog is a story about a British pilot crashing and waking up in a hospital in an unknown place. The people in the hospital try to make it look like he is in England but he later finds out he has become a prisoner of war. This story was very interesting because it shows his emotions and changes while during his time in the hospital, we can see how small things can make him suspicious. I think this story does a very good job of describing peoples emotions and feelings while they are in different situations. This adds a lot to the story's mood.

Research Topic
The theme for this year is saving. Thus, I chose a topic on water purification- how can we use everyday material to clean water?

Damages Control Article Response
This article is explaining how companies can turn their punitive damages into federal tax and defeat the purpose of the penalty. The article then explains how there is another approach to this problem. The jury should be aware that the punitive damage they put on the company will be turned into federal taxes, so the jury should make the punitive damage very high, hurting the company financially. Congress is also trying to pass a law that punitive damages can not be changed to federal taxing. I think that court cases like these can be very hard to please everyone. How can you hurt a company the way a company has hurt may individuals? Its very hard.
The Interlopers Review
This was another reading that really caught my attention because it had builded up very well and ended with an ironic twist. This story talks about two people in a family feud becuase of land distribution. They are one day both stuck under a tree when a storm happens in the forest. They decide to become friends and expect they will be rescued; But in the end, they both end up dying because wolves come and eat them. This story was very interseting because it was short and simple, yet in that amount of pages, they can quickly draw a reader in and then surprise them with an ironic ending. This is also one of my favorite readings out of the book so go and check it out! 8.5/10
The Most Dangerous Game Review
This story starts off with two friends that are going out to hunt. One of the hunters, Rainsford, ends up on an island that is feared by most. He meets general Zaroff, which Rainford later finds out hunts people for hobby. When Rainsford gets hunted, he later kills Zaroff and the story ends. Out of all the the readings, this is probably my favorite. It is full of excitement and suspense, it kept me reading front start to finish. This book had all the elements that a book i would enjoy reading. It was also very short so I could read the whole thing without getting bored. Anyone looking for a suspenseful short story should go and check it out! 9.5/10
